what is thermguard?
Thermguard is the original Cellulose Fibre Insulation in South Africa. It is manufactured with over 35 years of product development and industry knowledge.
Thermguard is made from 80% recycled newsprint in a low energy process, making it an extremely eco-friendly product.
Thermguard will prevent up to 91% of the heat generated in the home from escaping upwards through the ceiling in winter and it can keep 88% of summer heat out as well.
how is it installed?
We use specialised machinery that is imported from the United States. Our machinery blows the insulation material evenly throughout your roof.
The installation process takes a few hours, depending on the size of your home.
After installation, our professional team will ensure that there is no residual dust or mess in your home by doing a thorough clean up.

Thermguard will drastically reduce your electricity bills for heating and cooling your home. Depending on the design of your home, it is estimated that the insulation will pay for itself within 2-3 years.
This can vary depending on the size of your home, however an average home takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
When fitted, Thermguard provides even coverage and fits seamlessly into each crevice of your ceiling. Tests undertaken in the U.S.A. proved that cellulose creates “air tightness” of a building and that when installed, performed on average up to 26% more efficiently, and up to 38% in extreme climates rather than rolls of insulation.
No, Thermguard is non-allergenic and non-toxic. This product is treated with harmless natural additives to make it safe and non-allergenic.
While Thermguard is being blown into the roof space, a small amount of dust may come down through the trapdoor and from other sources, such as ill-fitting cornices. However, after installation our team on site will vacuum up this dust. The dust created in the roof space also settles fairly quickly.
